I grew up in the residential construction and real estate industry. My father was a general contractor, developer and a real estate broker.

I have an extensive 25 year background in marketing. I had the fortunate opportunity to work for Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, for over 20 years as a marketing guru. When I started with Microsoft I was a wiz programmer but my passion for marketing kept coming out. I later took a job working with Bill and acquired the nickname "marketing genius" because I could consistently figure out how to get more market share for our products. Later on , I left Microsoft to start a residential construction company and built that company to over $3.5 million dollars in annual sales.

Today, I am a real estate consultant to Bill Gates and a number of other multi-millionaires.

Mark is a native North Carolinian from the Appalachian Mountains. He was born with a passion for architecture and design. North Carolina is filled with a diversity of "homes styles" and "life styles", from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the eastern Atlantic shores. Mark has taken several interior design courses and has been involved in many home renovations and interior projects that include room planning, fabrication/ installation, staging, furniture placement, lighting and general design concept consultation.
